O Level and A Level Tutors

O and A Level results are built from three things: syllabus coverage that keeps pace with college, exam-technique practice against past papers, and a revision plan that starts earlier than the student thinks it should.

What a good O Level plan looks like

Coverage first: the student should be current with the college syllabus, never two chapters behind. Then technique: topically-organised past-paper work from the first term, not only in the March cram. Finally, a written revision map for each subject showing which topics are secure and which will need re-teaching in the last eight weeks. A tutor who cannot describe that plan in the first session is teaching lessons, not preparing candidates.

A Level is a different problem

AS and A Level reward explanation and application far more than memory, and the grade boundaries make small conceptual gaps expensive. Students aiming for university applications abroad usually need subject specialists who have taught that specific paper code. That is exactly what we match on, and it is also where the tutor pool thins out, so request early if the exam series is close.

Subject support we provide

Mathematics (including D1 and D2), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, English Language and Literature, Urdu, Islamiyat and Pak Studies. Students carrying six or seven subjects are supported with a coordinated timetable so the weak subject gets the extra hours instead of the easy one.

Home or online for Cambridge students?

Both work. Home tuition suits students who need supervision to sit down and work; online classes suit students whose specialist tutor is not in their city. Past-paper walkthroughs translate perfectly to a shared screen, which is why our A Level specialists often teach online even when they live in the same city.

When to start

The strongest results come from starting subject support in the first term of the final year, not in the last three months. If the exam series is already close, say so in your request: we will tell you honestly what is achievable in the remaining time and what the plan has to prioritise.

Frequently asked questions

Do you teach specific Cambridge syllabus codes?

Yes. We match on the exact subject and syllabus code your college follows, because O and A Level content and paper structure differ between codes. Include the codes in your request so the shortlist is genuinely relevant.

Can a tutor improve my child's grade in the last three months?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. Three months is enough to fix exam technique and close specific topic gaps, which often moves a grade, but it is not enough to rebuild two years of weak foundations. We would rather set an honest expectation than sell a plan that cannot deliver.

Do you support A Level students applying to universities abroad?

Yes. Predicted-grade-sensitive subject work is the main request, along with admissions test preparation where it overlaps with the syllabus. Tell us the country and course so the subject plan matches what the applications actually need.

How many subjects can one tutor teach at O Level?

One or two closely related subjects is realistic for a strong result. If you need four or five covered, we build a coordinated multi-tutor plan with a single weekly timetable rather than pretending one person can do it well.
